Moonlake

Moonlake

Roughly a mile south of Moonwell Village lies Moonlake, a vast and exceptionally deep body of water. Dense rainforest presses in on the lake from all sides but one. Along the southern shore, the Dragon Range rises abruptly from the dark blue waters, sheer cliffs of stone climbing skyward. High in the cliff face—nearly two hundred feet above the lake—caves and narrow openings mark the entrances to several difficult‑to‑reach dwellings carved into the rock.

Five islands of varying size lie scattered near the center of the lake. The ruins of an ancient settlement can be found on at least three of them. The largest island is almost perfectly round, while a smaller island just to the south, connected by a short bridge, is shaped like the crescent of Selûne.
